No, our single piece conveyor has no changes between conveyors. It is a single conveyor that brings the fruit directly into the bins. You will eliminate bruising created by the pickers when they move the fruit from the tree into the picking bag, when they carry the bag to the bin and when they empty the bag into the bin.
Yes, for sure. Just think of all the times pickers waste walking up and down the ladders, walk to the bin with the full picking bag, emptying the bag into the bins etc. The elimination of all these unproductive times notably accelerates the daily production of every single picker. Therefore you will need less labour compared to the traditional manual harvest.
It isn’t a complicated machine. It will certainly take a couple of days to become accustomed with the controls and reach a good efficiency, but up to now all our clients have always succeeded to run it without any issues. Another plus is that the workers really only use their hands and arms all day long without putting strain on their backs and knees. You will notice that they won’t be as tired as traditional pickers. This will be noticed for all of the harvest period. There will be no production slow-down towards the end of the harvest. You will also notice less sick-days and less injuries compared to previous harvests.
Yes, the conveyor system can easily be taken off and the machine will still have all the platforms on it. Handy for other jobs, like thinning, pruning, tying etc.
This depends on the configuration you choose and the orchard setup. Generally you use between 4 and 7 pickers during harvest, less if used for thinning and/or pruning.
The REVO team will collate detailed information about your orchard, before accepting any order. This way the machine will be delivered personalized to your particular needs. This procedure enables us to provide you with the highest possible efficiency.
Our machine does not use an empty bins trailer. The bins are loaded from the front and when full, lowered from the back. It is like an assembly chain. Therefore the length of the machine is far less compared to similar machines on the market. With the independent front and rear steering (also crabbing mode) it makes the Piuma perfect to maneuver in tight places. This can be seen every day in our Non Valley (7,000 hectares around our factory), where free space is practically non-existent.
Yes, the PIUMA product range comprises the models for flat orchards, the self-levelling unit and the tracked unit. Every unit will be personalized to the customer’s needs.
This depends on the time of the year. We always try to have machines in stock, but it is not always possible, especially when harvest time is closing in. Contact us to find out current delivery times.
Of course we have a service team. It is always on hand, especially during harvest. Our dealers have also been trained to provide service should it be needed.
